The term "Cheese Corridor" isn’t a formal corporate phrase but a nickname historians sometimes use for the Netherlands–Belgium–northern France dairy belt, a corridor of butter, cheese, and milk production that found itself at odds with margarine interests in the early 20th century. In that context, the “Cheese Corridor Incursion” can be understood as the entry of industrial margarine producers (like the Margarine Union / Unilever) into traditional dairy markets, threatening the livelihoods of butter and cheese makers along that corridor.
